Our range of spurges for damp soil brings together interesting perennials for planting a bank, the edge of a pond, or a border in flood-prone ground. Euphorbia palustris, the emblematic marsh spurge, is a large native perennial that grows in marshy areas, on the banks of rivers, streams, or bodies of water. More broadly, spurges offer a beautiful diversity of habits and foliage, and some species thrive in gardens where the soil remains moist for a good part of the year.

In this category, you will also find 'Euphorbia griffithii ‘Fireglow’ with its long red-orange flowering over bronze foliage, the variety ‘Dixter which also offers bright orange tones and fits into a natural garden as well as a more formal display. Euphorbia cornigera ‘Goldener Turm’ is characterised by taller growth and very bright yellow-green inflorescences, in sun or partial shade.

These spurges for moist to damp ground appreciate a rich soil that does not dry out in summer, even waterlogged, depending on the variety. Plant them on a natural bank, in marshy soil, or any soil that remains moist in summer.
