Originating mostly from the Mediterranean basin, bushy Phlomis plants thrive in very sunny conditions and grow in poor, well-drained soil. They form small bushes with a rounded habit, often with yellow or orange flowers, sometimes pink or white. Easy to grow and very hardy, they dislike heavy soils and wet winters.
