Our selection of Polyscias. Discover these exotic indoor bushes, closely related to Aralia, which are also nicknamed "False Aralia". Polyscias balfouriana is one of the most popular varieties. Its charming, rounded, deep green leaves, sometimes edged with cream, form a dense and elegant crown. 'Butterfly' is an original form with crinkled, finely cut leaves. Another must-have, Polyscias fruticosa, also called "Ming False Aralia", boasts a light and airy habit. Even more delicate is the decorative and low-maintenance Polyscias filicifolia or Fern-leaf False Aralia. Polyscias sambucifolia, hardy down to -8°C, can be grown in the ground in mild regions or in a large pot to overwinter in harsher climates.
<!--td {border: 1px solid #cccccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->Native to tropical regions of Asia and the Pacific, Polyscias are characterised by their finely cut, often variegated leaves and their slender silhouette, which fits seamlessly into both contemporary and more natural decor.
They thrive in bright environments but avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch their foliage. Plant them in well-draining potting mix and ensure moderate watering—keep the substrate slightly moist without excess water. These plants also tolerate some dry air, but occasional misting can be beneficial, especially in winter when indoor air tends to be drier.
