Our Hesperaloe range. These succulent perennials, often called Red Yuccas, stand out for their robustness and elegance. Hesperaloe parviflora is the most famous, with coral flowers blooming all summer long. Hesperaloe parviflora 'Rubra' offers a darker flowering, while 'Rose des Sables' stands out with a more compact habit and pink flowers. The 'Brakelights' variety is distinguished by its intense red colour. Perfect for dry gardens, these plants tolerate heat, intense drought, and temperatures down to -15°C.
Hesperaloe are succulent perennial plants native to arid areas of the southwestern United States and Mexico. Their main attraction lies in their long, slender, grey-green or blue-green leaves, forming rosettes, and their spectacular upright flowering stems carrying clusters of red, pink, or yellow tubular flowers, loved by pollinators.
These "Red Yuccas" thrive in full sun and well-drained, even poor soil. Their maintenance is minimal: moderate watering in the first years, and pruning of the flowering stems after flowering to stimulate the plant. These hardy plants are ideal for rock gardens and Mediterranean gardens.
