Our range of conifers for dry or even arid soils. At the heart of this assortment, many pines (Pinus), including the umbrella pine (Pinus pinea), the Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris), the Aleppo pine (Pinus halepensis),  Juniperus or junipers and cypresses (Cupressus). These genera offer several species and varieties that tolerate dry to arid conditions. Many dwarf conifers and rockery conifers derived from these large trees are particularly resilient plants that grow with little water. For example,  Juniperus horizontalis and its variety 'Blue Chip', J. scopulorum 'Skyrocket', the dwarf mountain pine Pinus mugo 'Mops'. Juniperus phoenicea and Juniperus oxycedrus, from Mediterranean scrublands, are perfect for gardens facing severe droughts. Just like Cupressus sempervirens 'Totem', a narrow cypress from Provence that gives an elegant vertical structure to very dry spaces. The Aleppo pine, emblematic of the Mediterranean forest, is famous for its resilience. For large gardens, choose the majestic Cedrus libani atlantica 'Glauca', a blue-needled Atlas cedar capable of growing in rocky and dry terrain. There are many more to discover in these pages.

All these conifers will enhance poor soils, arid rockeries, and gardens subjected to long droughts. They require minimal maintenance once rooted.
