The Onion is grown in the vegetable garden as a vegetable or condiment. It can be produced from seeds or by planting bulblets. The Onion is sensitive to clayey soils, excessive humidity, and fresh manure. It is sown in a loose, light, and well-drained soil, directly in the field of plants in spring from late February to May or from August to October for autumn sowings. Easy to grow, it can be stored for several months after harvest in a dry cellar.
