The Carrot - Daucus carota - is a -rooted vegetable that can be sown in vegetable gardens as early as February for a harvest until autumn. The star of this family - Apiaceae - seeds germinate 25 days after sowing. This orange-coloured vegetable has varieties with purple, yellow, or red skin and flesh. Carrots can be stored in dry sand in the dark. Among the best varieties, you will find the Colmar Carrot with a red heart or the Rothild Carrot.
