Planting Shallots from sets is a very simple operation for abundant harvest in the vegetable garden. Each planted set gives birth to 3-4 bulbs of the same size as the original. Measure 100 g (3.5 oz) of sets (small bulbs) for 1 m² (10.7 sq ft) to be cultivated. Like garlic and onion, these bulbs easily grow in rich and light soil and can be stored for a long time to be used raw or cooked. Shallots can have a round or long shape ("Cuisse de poulet") and show a coppery yellow, bronze, reddish or grey colour.

You'll love them!
