Evergreen bushes are not only interesting because they retain their foliage during winter: many of them also flower abundantly. If you have a woodland area with humus-rich soil, choose the Rhododendron 'Calsap', 'Mme Van Hecke' azalea, or the 'Hagoromo' camellia. For a Mediterranean-inspired flowerbed check out the striking Callistemon rigidus or common myrtle.
Moreover, some of these will reward you with elegant flowering even in the middle of winter, like Sarcococca confusa or Daphne odora 'Aureomarginata' - flowers that, to top it off, are also extremely fragrant!

You'll adore them!
