Border perennials are low-growing or medium-sized plants that highlight a path, the front of a border, a terrace or find their place in a rockery. They are chosen for their modest dimensions, their attractive appearance, and their ability to remain decorative over the long term, through their flowers, their foliage, or both. This category brings together varieties that allow you to create attractive borders in the garden, suited to each situation.

Among the reliable choices is Geranium 'Rozanne' with its abundant and prolonged blue flowering. Nepeta faassenii 'Walker's Low' works wonders in sunny borders with its soft and airy habit. In partial shade, Heuchera 'Caramel' displays its colourful foliage for many months. For low borders, flowering walls and rockeries, Erigeron karvinskianus is also an excellent choice, with its delicate flowering and spontaneous character.

Groundcover perennials and rockery perennials are very similar in their use and low-growing habit. They also meet simple and practical needs: to fill in the base of roses, furnish the front of a border or soften the transition between lawn, shrubs, and taller plantings.
