All Our Sedum Seeds – for Rock Gardens, Walls, and Dry Areas. Although sedum or stonecrop, is most often sold as young plants, it can also be successfully grown from seed. Sowing is an economical solution when you want to plant a rock garden or walls. These succulents thrive in dry and poor soils.

Sedum rupestre forms a dense carpet of small bluish-green fleshy leaves, topped with yellow flowers in summer. The vigorous and very hardy Sedum acre is characterised by fine, almost prickly foliage and bright yellow flowering in spring. Sedum ussuriense ‘Turkish Delight’ stands out with its very decorative purple foliage, creating an interesting contrast with other rock garden perennials.

These plants do not exceed 10 to 20 cm in height and spread easily to form a durable ground cover. Sow between March and May, in trays or directly in place, on the surface of a light and well-drained substrate. The very fine seeds should not be covered. Once well established, sedums tolerate drought well. Avoid excess water in winter, especially in heavy soil.
