The dwarf palm trees, not exceeding 3 metres (10 feet) in height, are not represented by only Chamaerops humilis (dwarf fan palm), native to the Mediterranean. To bring exoticism to our terraces, balconies, and small gardens, nothing beats Chamaerops 'Vulcano', 'Cerifera', or 'Compacta', or even a Sabal minor, very hardy even in cool soil. If you have a very bright veranda or a slightly heated greenhouse, you can adopt many species such as kentias (Howea forsteriana), Chamaedorea, and areca palms (Dypsis lutescens), with the biological limits being determined by the minimum winter temperature and the height of the ceiling.

You'll adore them!
