The Marigold or Calendula is an annual plant that is easy to grow. The colours range from yellow to orange and bring vibrancy to flowerbeds. The Marigold can also be cultivated in the vegetable garden and used as a condiment in cooking. The Marigold attracts pollinators and repels predators. The flowering period extends from May until the first frosts. The Marigold self-seeds very well in a spontaneous manner. Sow the marigolds in direct sunlight directly in open ground in a moist soil after the frosts.
