This large group of evergreen conifers grouped in the genus Thuja belongs to the Cupressaceae family. The Canadian Arborvitae is of western origin, more precisely from Northeastern North America, and is found from Southeastern Manitoba to Anticosti Island. It also grows in the Appalachians, where it shows great hardiness and low requirements, even developing in poor and waterlogged soil in swamps or, conversely in dry and meagre soil on cliffs. Easy to grow and highly adaptable, this conifer and its cultivars (over 300), increasing every year, have scale-like foliage that often takes on wonderful autumnal and winter tones, covering flat and branched twigs.

You'll adore them!
