The Organic Artichoke Violet de Provence is a perennial vegetable that is a source of protein and fibre. It is cultivated in the vegetable garden for its heads which are consumed cooked. Productive and easy to grow, it is not very susceptible to diseases but it is slightly sensitive to cold and will need to be protected from the cold in winter, especially the Violet de Provence variety. The organic seeds and plants, certified AB, are obtained without pesticides or chemical fertilisers. You can sow or plant them in rich, light and well-drained soil. Harvest after two years of cultivation.
