The digitalis are vigorous perennial or biennial plants. They form long stems adorned with bell-shaped flowers. Their abundant summer flowering can add a poetic touch to gardens. Also known as "Glove of Our Lady," they thrive in well-drained, partially shaded soils rich in organic matter.
