The African Marigold is an annual plant from the same family as the French Marigold. The African Marigold is a bushy plant that can reach 80 cm (32in) in height depending on the variety. The leaves are divided into linear leaflets with dentate edges. The flowers form large pompom-like structures in orange, yellow, or brown. The flowering begins in June and lasts until the first frost. You can plant African Marigolds in pots or in the ground. They are best suited for sunny areas with normal and well-drained soil.
