The organic carrot - Daucus carota - is a root vegetable grown for its orange, red, or yellow roots, depending on the varieties. The seeds of this umbelliferous plant from the family Apiaceae germinate 25 days after sowing. Like Parsnip, Carrot is a very hardy vegetable and can be stored in dry sand in the dark. These organic seeds, certified AB, are obtained without any treatment or chemical fertilisers. Among the best varieties are the classic improved Nantes Carrot, the early Touchon Carrot, and the productive Rothild Carrot.
