A selection of Buddleias or Butterfly Bushes of medium stature, reaching between 1.50 and 2.50 m (5 and 8ft) in height at maturity, suitable for gardens of all sizes. These are excellent summer-flowering fragrant shrubs, with various colours, highly sought after by butterflies, perfect for creating large borders or flowering hedges. There is a wide choice in this category. Let's mention the magnificent variegated varieties of Buddleja davidii 'Harlequin', 'Masquerade' and 'Santana' with very bright foliage and flowers in shades of purple-pink, or the elegant hybrid Buddleija 'Lochinch' with silver foliage that blooms purple in June and again in September-October. 'Flower Power' is an original Buddleia x weyeriana, with spikes in various shades of pink, purple and orange. Those who love large flowers will be captivated by Buddleia davidii 'Gulliver' which stands out with its enormous mauve inflorescences appearing almost disproportionate on this 1.75 m (6ft) tall bush. The long spikes of bicoloured flowers, purple-violet and cream-white of Buddleia davidii 'Berries and Cream' offer a delightful spectacle throughout the summer. Don't hesitate to associate the Butterfly Bushes with other shrubs such as summer ceanothus or mock orange, which are equally easy to grow.
