Our range of avocado trees (Persea americana). These exotic fruit trees are prized for their delicious fruits and beautiful evergreen foliage. The avocado tree 'Hass' is the most well-known for its rough-skinned avocados with creamy flesh and fine flavour. The 'Bacon' variety stands out for its hardiness and smooth fruits, while the 'Fuerte' avocado tree produces small, elongated, very good-tasting smooth fruits. Avocado trees bring a tropical touch to the conservatory or greenhouse.
Persea americana and its varieties are frost-sensitive trees. It takes a minimum of 4 years of cultivation to harvest avocados, provided your avocado tree has good heat and humidity conditions. It can be grown in the ground in a warm, sheltered location. Everywhere else, grow it in a pot. It appreciates well-drained, slightly acidic, moist to wet soil.
