Chives are an aromatic and culinary plant grown in the vegetable garden or in a pot for their hollow and long leaves with a slightly pungent garlic taste. Harvesting the foliage at the base of the clump promotes renewal. The Very Fine Danish Chives seeds are sown from February to June for a harvest from May to September. From March to May, Chives bloom in beautiful decorative purple pompoms. They can be propagated by dividing the clump or by sowing seeds. Like the spring onion, it thrives in moderately rich soil in sunny and semi-shaded areas.
