The Apple tree - Malus domestica - is a fruit tree from the Rosaceae family, among the most common in our orchards. It is appreciated for its highly decorative pink-white flowering and abundant fruit production, providing ample harvests of apples for eating or cooking from September for early varieties to November for late ones. Note the varieties Belle de Boskoop, a well-storing apple with firm and crisp flesh; Granny Smith, highly productive, with crisp and tangy flesh; and Reinette grise du Canada, valued in cooking and baking. The Apple tree is very hardy and can be grown in all areas.
