Our range of sweet potato plug plants. Appreciated for its sweet flesh, the sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) is a vegetable plant which large roots are harvested in autumn. The variety ‘Beauregard’ is a benchmark for its coppery skin and melting orange flesh. ‘Evangeline’ offers even sweeter flesh and excellent flavour quality. The variety ‘Murasaki 29’, recognisable by its pinkish-purple skin and white flesh, stands out for its firm texture and slightly nutty flavour. More original, ‘Paradise Tahiti’ surprises with its purple flesh and delicate taste. Also discover the sweet potato 'Orléans', a high-yielding variety, ideal for organic growing, producing long, large tubers with orange, flavoursome flesh.

Plug plants are very young plants that need to be pre-grown before planting in the vegetable garden. Upon receipt, transplant and store them under cover (conservatory, greenhouse, cold frame...) at a temperature above 14°C for a few weeks. They can be planted out in the garden once the risk of frost has completely passed.
