Nerium - Oleander

The Oleander, Nerium oleander in Latin, is a beautiful evergreen Mediterranean shrub of the Apocynaceae family, highly appreciated for its long and generous summer flowering.  Undemanding in terms of soil, resistant to drought, it does require regular watering in summer and appropriate pruning to flower abundantly. More or less frost-tolerant depending on the varieties, it offers a whole range of colours, from white to red, including pink, yellow and even purple. Its flowers are single, double or even triple, sometimes highly fragrant.
