To decorate a pergola, it is important to choose climbing roses with moderate growth but that are adequately vigorous to cover both the arch itself and the space between each arch. Their vegetation should preferably be flexible and loose, with few thorns to avoid snagging visitors as they pass by, and it should be easy to guide in the three dimensions of the pergola. Climbing roses grow too large and are difficult to control for this purpose. Therefore, we have selected some of our English, old, and modern climbing roses, in varieties that meet these different criteria and flower well for a pergola.

You'll love them!
