The Bio Orach or Garden Orach - Atriplex hortensis - belongs to the Chenopodiaceae family. It is an ancient annual herbaceous plant that has been present in vegetable gardens since the Middle Ages. If it is sometimes called Summer Spinach or False Spinach, it is because it is similar to them and shares the same cooking recipes, such as the Tart. Green, red or blonde, it can reach up to 2m (7ft) with astonishing speed. Easy to grow, Orach thrives in poor soils and performs remarkably well during hot weather. These organic seeds and plants come from organic farming and are certified organic.
