Notre gamme de Toona. Le Toona sinensis, également connu sous les noms de cédrèle ou acajou de Chine, est le chef de file de ce groupe d'arbre chinois intéressants pour leur croissance rapide, leur feuillage élégant et leur silhouette légère. Parmi les variétés phares figurent le Toona sinensis 'Flamingo', avec son feuillage rose tendre au printemps, et le Toona sinensis 'Green Mile', réputé pour sa croissance rapide et son feuillage vert luxuriant. 'Flamingo' séduit par ses feuilles qui évoluent vers un vert clair en été, tandis que 'Green Mile' offre une ombre bienfaisante et un aspect majestueux toute l'année.
Le cédrèle de Chine remplacera avantageusement l'ailanthe, car il ne possède pas son caractère invasif. Son feuillage penné s'étale au sommet d'un tronc élancé couvert d'une écorce grise et fissurée dont l'arôme résineux évoque celui du cèdre. Il s'agit d'un très bel arbre d'alignement qui constitue aussi un beau spécimen à planter en isolé dans un grand jardin. Pour réussir sa culture, il faut le planter dans un endroit lumineux, dans un sol fertile et frais, à l'abri des vents froids, sous un climat tempéré.
