Description

Buddleja x weyeriana 'Sungold' is a unique butterfly bush that bears round, yellow-orange ball-shaped flowers.

The dense flowering appears in round heads of 3cm (1 in) diameter, which bloom successively from August to October (it is slightly less long-lasting than that of Buddleja davidii). Buddlejas are reputed to attract butterflies thanks to their scent with subtly sweet flavours. Butterfly bushes are medium-sized bushes. They are robust with a rapid growth rate. Their arching stems give the habit a light and trailing aspect. Their deciduous foliage is silver, offering a beautiful variation on more classic foliage.

Plant Buddleja x weyeriana 'Sungold' in an informal hedge, in a flower bed with other bushes, or as a solitary plant. You can also keep it in a pot to decorate a patio, for example. These bushes are perfectly resistant to coastal conditions and heavy pollution, and can even prove to be invasive!
