Arrived in very good condition, and with a lovely little pruning for a young plant in a package, it has already multiplied its size by 6 or more!!
Super happy!!! Magnificent!

A birthday gift from Promesse de Fleurs, this vine-plant, 3 years after being planted, is of exceptional beauty: very dark red and finely cut foliage reminiscent of a maple; fragrant flowering in cream/pink/white that stands out.
It has limited growth in ordinary soil, in the sun.
Absolutely stunning, it catches the eye!

After traveling with a delay of 8 days in a closed box, I thought I would find my young plant in a disastrous state, but to my pleasant surprise, thanks to the flower promise who had carefully packed and moistened the plant, there is not too much damage. I planted it immediately and I am waiting for my elderberry to recover.

Planted for nearly 3 years, I share my observations. Magnificent flowering in May that contrasts with an ink-black foliage, a marvel, perhaps one of the most beautiful contrasts in the vegetable kingdom. It looks like some kind of Japanese maple with umbrellas. It's beautiful and it's enough to be bought. However, there are several drawbacks. Firstly, this plant really fears drought, so yes to sun, but anticipate the lack of water and avoid placing it in direct scorching heat. Secondly, the flowering period, which unfortunately is quite short (about 3 weeks) and a rather slow growth during its early years. Very low fruiting, don't expect to eat elderberries with this cultivar, there are only a few berries per cluster (I wonder if they are edible). Lastly, the foliage sometimes turns from black to "brown" by the end of summer, so-so... But I still remain very satisfied.
The vine-plants have arrived safely.
The water is very delicate, I planted it as soon as I received it, it lost some leaves so I staked it, I hope it will survive and make it through the winter.
But I'm not worried, "Promesse de fleurs" sends a replacement plant when it's defective.

High-quality young plant, but it was severely damaged during transportation as several branches were broken. As a result, it is reduced by half... I pruned the damaged parts, but I believe it will recover well.
Vine-plant received in November 2020. Pruning in accordance with the description. Good growth in spring, with vigor. The midrib is superb, with great delicacy. This gives the young plant a light, fluid, and soft aspect; and the dark purple color brings modernity and originality to their garden. Looking forward to the flowers and fruits in the years to come ;-)
