The potted plants received are in good condition, I have placed them in the sun in soil prepared in advance by mixing 1/3 to 1/2 river sand with garden soil, as well as a little organic flower fertilizer rich in potassium (K). The corms (bulbs) were planted at a depth of about 8-10cm (3-4in) and spaced 15cm (6in) apart. A few centimeters of chestnut bark mulch (Castanea coverchips from DCM) have been spread on the surface to ensure good moisture retention in the soil.

The plants are weak.

The bulbs looked empty when I received them and indeed none of them grew. Luckily, in the bargain basket I had ordered with this purchase, there were some of a different variety that did very well.

Included in the 5-pound surprise basket. Very good quality, very healthy. Waiting for autumn 2022 to plant them.

Gorgeous colours and a beautiful flowering in the second year. A must-have in the garden!

I am pleasantly surprised.

The flowers are truly magnificent and last a long time. Especially since I had forgotten about them and the bulbs ended up scattered throughout the flowerbed during my various gardening tasks. These flowers are really forgiving. This autumn, I will gather them together and make sure to note their location, I promise.

Some bulbs are very small and weak, but I will plant them all and we will see at the blooming ....!!!

I had completely forgotten about them, poor things, to the point that they were moved several times as I carried out various gardening tasks. They didn't hold it against me, as they bloomed, albeit late, in late September, I believe. Such beauty, such vitality, and that for many weeks! Delighted!
