Hello, Rhizome of this hedychium ordered and well received. Perfect packaging! I am a bit more doubtful about the growth of this rhizome. It is very small and dry, and I couldn't see any signs of growth, the same goes for the second variety I ordered. I planted them in pots indoors to maximize the chances of regrowth before moving them outside. We will see how they do.

Continuation of my review submitted on 06/02/23. Rhizomes placed on a good layer of moist potting soil (1 rhizome per plastic pot) and each pot placed in a sealed freezer bag to retain moisture on 08/02/23. The whole thing placed in a heated room between 21 and 23 °C (69.8 and 73.4°F). 16/3/23. One rhizome (the one showing signs of pink/red growth) has grown quite quickly and now has a stem of about 10 cm (4in). The other two are starting to show roots and shy stems. 3 rhizomes -> 3 successful growths. => patience!!!

I have just received my 3 pieces of rhizomes. Two small red tips on one of the rhizomes give me hope for growth. However, the other two don't look promising, they seem dry and old, leaving me doubtful about their ability to come back to life. I will therefore put them with my canna rhizomes, in a cool and dark place, to try to revive them at the same time as my cannas. To be continued!

Hello, I would like to know as a precaution if the red monkshood is toxic to humans, especially children, please. Thank you.

After 3 years of waiting (maturity obliges), the blooming is happening, very pleased.

Not much result the first year. Growing better this year but so far no sign of any flower spike.

This plant didn't grow at all. I'm disappointed because I was already envisioning the space in the garden it would take next to other exotic perennials. I'm hesitant to order another one. I'll see if I can replant the bulb somewhere else by digging it up.

The plant still hasn't grown, even though I followed the planting and care instructions as best as I could. I'm disappointed because I really liked it.

Very disappointed, my rhizome was a bit shriveled upon arrival, but as I immediately planted it, I had hope to see it sprout. However, nothing has emerged, not a single leaf.
