Well, in the end, they grew well and bloomed, but what a disappointment: it wasn't H. ellipticum, but rather H. yunnanense.... Anyway, I'm disappointed that I didn't receive the correct variety.

You presented the plant in a pot and I received a bulb. After checking, the word "bulb" is indeed indicated but really too discreet! So I hope to be satisfied with this little bulb!!

Hedychium ordered in March 2020. Arrived very quickly and rhizomes in good condition and rather large, but without starting buds, as they were underground rhizome pieces. But very good restart, new vigorous shoots are just emerging at the moment :)
Good evening,
Having been planted for 5 or 6 years, it has never bloomed. I believe the season is too short here. In 2021, I put it in a cold greenhouse. This winter, it remained as a stem, and in spring, it produced new shoots, around 1.50m (5ft) tall. Currently, the flower bud is forming.

Beautiful blooming, truly exotic. Blooms for 15-20 days starting from the 3rd week of September in the north. Be careful in the summer, it doesn't tolerate drought. I brought back a bulb from Madeira. Now I have 4 pots of different sizes that I bring indoors to a cold conservatory in winter, and repot them every spring.
Hello, I have a plant in full sun for 4 years, it's growing well but I'm still waiting for the flowers. Do you have any advice? Thank you.

It took a year to see it sprout, in a deep container! This spring, I'll move it and put it in full sun. It requires patience, and I'm sure it will be rewarded.

Plant that has just emerged after the heavy October rains. I will replant it in April with the hope of seeing it bloom.
Did it lack water this summer?
