Positive aspects: can it be protected during winter? Overall opinion: interesting plant, it's a shame that it cannot withstand the cold and does not regrow.

I bought this plant (rhizome) from you in June 2013. The leaves grew a little bit, and then I protected them from November-December. The following spring, I was greatly disappointed as no leaves emerged from the ground. And yet, it was in a large Anduze pot! Le Clos du Coudray included an explanatory note with each plant. Where did I go wrong?
