Took a long time to grow, but very nice effect.

It is a green manure that I really like because with few seeds, it covers the soil very well. Personally, I leave it all winter, it dries and I use it as mulch in spring.

A ma très grande surprise : n'a pas du tout levé (semis du 16/09/19) ; malgré le très grand soin apporté à la préparation du terrain de 50 m2 environ (faux semis et apport d'amendement calcaire marin : maërl ) . Modestie mise à part,je prétends avoir la main verte,en temps que paysan retraité. Comme il me reste une poignée de graines,je vais recommencer en avril 2020. Je suis légitimement déçu ! La qualité de la semence ou de ce lot de semence est t-elle en cause? Je voudrai avoir l'opinion d'autres acheteurs de ce sainfoin . Ferme de Sainte Marthe : c'est en principe sérieux ?

Few seeds have germinated, but the ones that have are growing into beautiful plants.

Sowing: on 18th July (probably a bit late), on approximately 30 m2; well-prepared soil (multiple false sowings), well-drained, fairly chalky, and sunny. I keep the soil moist until germination. I hope it will germinate properly. It's the first time I'm trying this legume.

Hello, I planted some alfalfa last autumn and it has grown well. However, there are still some empty areas. I want to keep it. Should I mow it or leave it as it is?
