Strange... at home, sown directly in the ground for three weeks, nothing is sprouting...

Excellent! I've planted 150 of them. In one week, they've sprouted and grown over 10 cm (4in)! They're growing like rockets!
DO NOT SOW CORN IN POTS! PLANT IT IN THE GROUND at the end of April! I've said it, in one week it sprouted to 10 cm (4in)! It's not demanding at all, actually! And it's not expensive either!
For watering, I have three approaches:
- The first one is to water only during the ear formation and a little when it's very dry (the farmers' method).
- The second one is to water all the time without letting it dry out.
- The third one is to water during planting, let it dry in between, and water again during ear formation.
Personally, I refer to the farmers' 20-hectare field, which, even though it's for animals, has excellent results.
I'm going to mulch heavily.
Now, I'm waiting for the results! Can't wait to eat my cornmeal and buttered corn on the cob from the barbecue!

Alright
Not yet ripe but good growth.

Thank you.

but
The corn kernels are dried out. Is that normal? I expect them to be nice and plump. Maybe they need to be rehydrated in water before sowing.
Promesse de Fleurs' response: Indeed, you can soak them for 24 hours before planting.
5 stars for the delivery and the quality of the seeds
Hello, Regarding the tree rings and your delivery, it was perfect and timely. As for the outcome, it's calamitous due to the temperature of this summer. The spikes were beautiful but impossible to cook. I tried to make them burst, but again, nothing could be done because it's not the right variety for that. It won't prevent me from ordering again next year, because I repeat, your delivery was perfect.
