tarn" is already an English word and it refers to a small mountain lake or pool, especially one formed by a glacier. Therefore, there is no need to replace it with an English equivalent.

I tried these canary creeper seeds and they germinated and grew with beautiful leaves, but no flowers. The climate of the Parisian region must not suit them.
