The foot isn't very attractive. Hopefully it will hold up as this is the 2nd one in a month and a half. The first one I bought here didn't last long even though I took care of it properly.

The young plant has, despite the -10°C/-12°C (10.4°F) in Normandy, resisted well. The colours are splendid, a palette of variegated red, pink, and green. The neighbouring plants have protected it, and the thick layer of flax mulch spread all around has defeated the frost.

Well protected in its packaging, I immediately planted the young plant between a berberis and a heuchera, both of which are purple. The magnificent foliage brightens up the flower bed.
