Pretty leaf slow growth

I received this lovely bush last week and I am very pleased with it.

I'm looking forward to its development, however, it has a very lovely foliage.

Healthy but very small young plant (15 cm (6in)). Mishandled during transport: Pot broken and clearly stored upside down, causing a spillage. The soil escaped into the shipping box, despite careful packaging. I also noticed that the collection points did not follow the instructions written on the shipping box.

This young plant died a few days after being planted, despite the watering.

I have had this flower in my garden for 5 years. I have incorporated it into a mixed hedge. But it has never flowered. What's the trick?
