Colfontaine (Belgium)
I planted the ''Glowing Embers'' azalea at my home in Belgium last week (30th September). I placed it in partial shade and worked the garden soil (which is clayey) to a depth of 40 cm (16in) and a width of 50 cm (20in). I mixed in about 2/3 of heather soil and 1/3 of river sand (from the Rhine) with this soil, along with a few handfuls of organic fertilizer for rhododendrons and azaleas. I mixed everything together and created a slight mound on which I planted my azalea. Then, I lightly compacted the soil and watered it thoroughly with rainwater. Finally, I finished by mulching with a few centimeters of pine bark.

The leaves are covered by a white web (spider's?). The young plant has been hastily repotted: tiny roots in a large pot and I found small white balls in the soil: parasite eggs? I have doubts about the plant's survival. Very disappointed.

Very poorly habituated
The young plant is fine, but it arrived outside of its pot and it has lost a lot of the water.
