Same problem as Arnaud. These artichokes have thorns. Inedible. Today, on 22nd May, still no response from you... After two years. I will have to uproot everything. What a shame. Thank you.

On germination, nothing to say, but these are not purple artichokes, I had thorny artichokes... that I will have to uproot...

Fast and flawless delivery
Not having sown the artichokes yet, I cannot make a judgement. The dahlias received as a birthday gift are in the ground. I don't think there will be any shoot issues. I am following the advice of Promise of Flowers.

It was out of curiosity that I wanted to test growing artichokes from seeds. I was skeptical and should have refrained. I obtained a few fairly decent plants, but the fruiting was almost nonexistent and the plants completely withered, even though they are normally perennial. I won't do it again. I don't recommend it! Thankfully, I had my plants (of a different variety) purchased from a garden centre located 5 km (3.1mi) away from my place!

These are seeds, I was expecting to receive some artichoke plants!!

Drome
My artichokes have grown well, but the leaves are very sharp, prickly like burrs and don't resemble the photos at all. When I manage to peel one, it already has some hay even though it's very small. I wonder if there isn't a little problem.
