Plants received well, alive and thriving. I planted them in the shade, mulched them, and watered them abundantly. They now have three large leaves each, but no new growth. ???

Catastrophic plants, a leaf with a 2 cm (1in) circumference planted in a pot...

I made a first attempt: the plant, which arrived in excellent condition, gradually withered. It is most certainly due to overwatering on my part. After phoning and seeking advice, I ordered three new plants. And there, bitter disappointment! The pots arrived empty. As there was a bit of soil scattered at the bottom of the box, I rummaged through and found a few rhizomes, two or three yellowed and detached leaves. I planted these rhizomes in a pot. I hope they will recover... You never know. It's probably too late for this year. I should have bought a plant from a garden centre that I could see before purchasing.

SEYNE LES ALPES
Very disappointed! The pots were empty. I ended up finding, amidst a bit of scattered soil at the bottom of the box, some rhizomes and very small yellowed, dried, and even broken leaves. This is the second time that the packaging has been neglected like this, (The previous one concerned primroses) but this time, in addition, the plants were really disappointing. I'm going to try to revive them, but without much conviction. In any case, it's impossible to put them in the ground, so I will try to pamper them.

SEYNE LES ALPES
Received in good condition. Planted in a pot while waiting for better weather (altitude 1260). It has spent the nights indoors as well as the days of late snow, and I take the pot out on the windowsill when it's sunny or mild. Unfortunately, the leaves are now turning yellow and falling one by one, and the plant is no longer producing. I will probably try another one.

The plants, although small, have recovered. As soon as they were planted, I mulched them to keep the soil cool around their base. In their first year, they are producing many fairly thin canes. Perfect.

St Herblain
I planted it this autumn. It grew back very well in the spring, so we will wait for it to grow bigger before harvesting.
