I planted a clematis in May last year... 3 weeks later, the plant died. What a shame!

Planted in May 2019. Beautiful growth of stems and leaves. Strong emergence of new leaves and stems currently underway.
No flowering yet, but I hope it will happen this season.

Promise for the coming year
For this plant, I was sorry; it had suffered (during transportation? during packaging? or before) and was severed at its base. Promesse de fleurs replaced it with another cultivar that has thrived perfectly, and while it did not produce any flowers this year, which seems quite normal, it is a true promise for the future.

Received quickly, in good condition, good exchange
I received the plant on the scheduled date, in good condition in its packaging.
Planted in a pot in early October, against a fence on a south-facing terrace (but with its base in the shade), in the Southwest region of France. It quickly suffered from heavy snail attacks at night, which devoured a good portion of its leaves, and I was worried about its survival. However, it held up throughout the winter, remaining vigorous, and here we are in mid-February with very mild temperatures, and the clematis is already showing strong signs of recovery with numerous buds developing rapidly. So, for the moment, I am very pleased and I am looking forward to seeing it bloom.
