One of my favourite perennials: planted for 15 years in various sunny locations, rich but relatively dry soil in summer, reaches a height of 1.20m (4ft), stands well without support where it is not obstructed by overhanging trees, flowers all summer (I remove faded flowers) and self-seeds well. Regrows from its base each year, but late in spring, so be careful when carrying out major bed clean-ups. For me, a very hardy and easy plant...and what a blue colour! I am always enchanted by its flowers, like hot air balloons. Not invasive. Withstands the heatwave currently affecting my region for several months.

Hello ...
I have had this young plant for 4 years now and it has withstood the harsh cold of winter, especially a period of severe frost. The platycodon remains unaffected by seasonal changes...I am writing to inquire why this plant has always produced single flowers, but suddenly, on the same stem, it has started producing not only single flowers but also double or even triple flowers, which does not diminish the beauty of the plant...Is it possible that this plant originally has double or triple flowers and nature is simply reclaiming its "rank" of being naked?...
However, this year, which is particularly hot and therefore has less water, it doesn't bother the plant at all. Despite always measuring only 30 cm (12in), it has now grown to 50 cm (20in) or more, especially for a plant that is in a more shaded area...
Thank you in advance for shedding light on this nature's whim...
Best regards,
Ghislaine
The shoot is small to see over time if it takes well in the soil.

Very well!
It's okay, thank you!

In English (British): "angers"
If you are referring to the noun "angers" (meaning strong feelings of displeasure or hostility), the translation would be the same: "angers".
If you are referring to the verb "angers" (meaning to make someone feel angry o
Gorgeous plant (the neck resembles a flying bee) that flowers all summer. I've had it for 3 years and it gets more beautiful every year. I've harvested some seeds and my young plants are very successful (in the greenhouse). Don't hesitate to do some pruning to encourage branching. I'm looking forward to making a complete flowerbed with it next spring!

Good condition
Waiting for the flowering.
For all the young plants received, compliments for the packaging that perfectly protects the plants.

The platycodon is a beautiful plant, with flowers of a lovely blue color. One particularity: some flowers have 5 petals while others on the same stem only have 4 petals, a whim of nature that doesn't change the beauty of this plant, which doesn't grow very high, about 30cm (12in). Some stems may need a small support so that the flowers don't touch the ground... Several plants together create a nice effect...
Planted in my garden in the North, in the shade, a place where there is little sunlight, which suited it well, it will remain in this spot where it is happy. It's a small plant that I recommend for humid soil like mine, which is often wet, it doesn't harm it at all.
Kind regards,
Ghislaine
