Well, I had hoped that Promesse de fleurs would have improved the situation considering the previous negative reviews, but it's not the case. The culms of the bamboo are already pruned, so they won't grow anymore. When buying bamboo, it's often to quickly build a hedge, so the height is a determining factor in the purchase... this pruning is incomprehensible. I have other bamboo to buy and I'm afraid (especially considering the price of the plant, we expect better quality).
By the way, they are in bad condition, with few leaves and many yellow and dried-up culms. I hope they will recover.

Hello,
I agree with other customers' feedback regarding the preparation for shipment. The culms have been cut and are no longer growing. Is this to maintain the desired height for the selling price (80 cm (32in) exactly in my case for the 2 ordered specimens)?
Considering that this bamboo has slow growth, it is not wise since we have to wait for the plant to establish (several months) before new shoots start to emerge.
These new shoots are indeed blue-grey, unlike the ones that were cut for shipment and remained green (due to the cutting?).
Something to consider for future shipments.
The bamboo arrived with most of the leaves dried up. There are only about ten viable leaves left. The other species of bamboo from my order (viking, obelisk, ...) did not have this issue. So, I suppose it is a delicate species of bamboo. Please arrange to send it via express delivery and pick it up as soon as possible, especially during the summer season.

Bamboo received today with all the culms cut in height, thus stopping the shoot of the bamboo in height.
The culms are of beautiful colours but condemned to remain at the height at which they were cut, which was not what I wished for and was not indicated on the website.

I received 3 Blue Dragon Fargesia papyrifera in October 2022. The plants were pruned (to fit into the packaging, I suppose). They must have suffered during transportation as there were very few green leaves left. I planted them immediately and watered them regularly. Unfortunately, none of the three bamboo plants survived.

Received. As agreed.

Hello. I received a Fargesia blue dragon bamboo yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the young plant. Beautiful green leaves and numerous shoots. For now, I would rate it a 4 as it is a bit premature to give an opinion on its future development and the blue color of the culms, which I cannot see yet. Best regards and thank you.

Received 2 bamboos with several small branches where the blue colour is already visible. Intended for a variegated bamboo hedge... black, green, and blue colours.
