In my very hot summer, cold winter but not very humid area (altitude 550m (1804ft)), I planted it at the base of a wall, it took a little while to start but then it's 'magnificent', my sister has had it in Yvelines for years, including harsh winters. I also have the white one but it blooms earlier in summer and for a shorter time???

Negative aspects: Does not withstand water shortage very well, and I think they did not survive the negative temperatures of the winter 2011/2012 despite the protection. Overall opinion: Magnificent, but I think more suitable for container gardening if you are north of the Loire.

Beautiful bulb currently planted in a pot in the garden shed, ready to be placed outside as soon as the temperatures allow.

Delighted. I received the bulb in March and planted it immediately. It took its time to start growing. But for the past ten days, it has finally sprouted. I'm thrilled, it has grown its first leaf and I have two more shoots coming up. I can't wait for it to grow and spread because for now, it is only 30cm (12in) tall.
