Our range of aquatic plants for mild climates. Frost-sensitive or tropical varieties for landscaping ponds in a Mediterranean or Atlantic coastal climate. These bodies of water can accommodate, for example, the Nymphaea tetragona, hardy down to -10 °C, or even Aponogeton distachyos, the South African water vanilla with its highly fragrant flowers. These aquatic plants, often not very hardy, cannot be installed outdoors all year round in cold regions. However, they can be overwintered in containers, protected from the cold. Let's also mention Thalia dealbata, also known as water canna, a large aquatic or semi-aquatic perennial, evergreen in mild climates, distinguished by its luxuriance and mauve flower spikes in summer. The most iconic is undoubtedly the majestic Cyperus papyrus or Nile papyrus, but sensitive to frost, which is planted in submerged pots to protect it during winter in a greenhouse or conservatory.
