Anthurium jenmanii Gold

Anthurium jenmanii 'Gold' is a rare cultivar with bright yellow foliage. Its leaves are elongated, lanceolate, veined and wrinkled, but above all very thick, to the point that the botanical species (also uncommon) is nicknamed "the cardboard plant". Young leaves emerge in dark red to brown before developing a bright yellow to lime green hue as they grow. This is a "bird's nest" Anthurium with a rosette growth habit. Perhaps less spectacular than large cordate and variegated Anthuriums, its beauty should not be underestimated. Place it in a spot with bright indirect light and maintain high ambient humidity.

These natural conditions indicate that its requirements differ slightly from round-leaved anthuriums of the crystallinum type. Slightly less demanding, it tolerates average light conditions and slightly lower humidity, though always requiring a well-draining substrate for successful indoor cultivation.
