Description

Rich in several hundred species of mainly perennial plants, buttercups are mostly known as weeds. Many, however, are splendid even though their cultivation can be difficult.

Called "buttercup", this buttercup lives in meadows and damp woods throughout France and especially in the West. It is obviously considered a weed, although it is not very invasive because it is not stoloniferous. The variety offered, practically sterile, forms a clump of 3-lobed leaves, topped with a multitude of small yellow flowers with a green heart, very double, like so many little pompons.
