Very floriferous and decorative, no disappointments possible. Although planted at the same time as 3 other different amaryllis bulbs, it bloomed almost a week before the others. Description
A magnificent Hippeastrum with vibrant red, large double flowers.
This Hippeastrum features bright red double flowers, typically clustered in groups of four at the top of the main stem. The flower shape resembles that of certain lilies.
Amaryllis bulbs flower approximately 6 to 8 weeks after planting, depending on the ambient temperature.
The green foliage consists of long, narrow straps.
Keep the pot in a well-lit location, warm if you wish to speed up flowering, or cool at 10°C to slow it down. Adding fertiliser is unnecessary before flowering but essential afterwards to replenish the bulb's reserves.
The 36+ bulb size indicates substantial reserves, ensuring exceptional flowering.

How to plant my Amaryllis Double Dragon? You can plant the Amaryllis bulbs from October until the end of April. Choose a pot that is not too large (one or two cm wider than the size of the bulb). Place a drainage layer at the bottom to ensure proper water flow. Mix half potting compost with half garden soil. Only bury the bulb halfway. Place the pot in a warm and bright spot. Water sparingly until the stem appears. Then, water every day. 6 to 8 weeks later, your bulbs will flower. Our tip: if you choose several bulbs, plant them at two-week intervals to enjoy the beauty of Amaryllis all winter long. How to make my Amaryllis bloom again? After flowering, remove the faded flowers and allow the leaves to develop. Continue to water regularly and feed them with houseplant fertiliser every fortnight. This is when the bulb replenishes itself to prepare for next year's flowers. After 4 to 6 months, forget about your potted plants and let them rest for about 3 months in a sheltered spot. You can then cut off the faded leaves, repot in fresh compost, and start a new growing cycle.
