Our range of Astrophytum, geometric cacti to grow indoors or in a greenhouse. Their star-shaped silhouette and yellow summer flowering make them highly decorative graphic plants. The best-known, Astrophytum myriostigma or 'Bishop's Cap' is globose, thornless, and develops yellow flowers at maturity. The Astrophytum churinensis features dense hairiness and an upright habit, while the larger Astrophytum ornatum,lbears thorns and white patterns on a dark green background. Very compact, the Astrophytum asterias often compared to a sea urchin is sought after for its perfect shape. The Astrophytum capricorne is recognisable by its long twisted thorns.
Like all cacti, they require a very well-draining substrate, a bright exposure, moderate watering in summer, and a dry rest period in winter between 5 and 12°C.
